PRODUCT DESCRIPTION New LP - Emmett Frisbee - Sound Paintings - Soon To Be A Major Film - Original Stock - RARE PRIVATE PRESS SEALED ORIGINAL STOCK FROM PITTSBURGH OUTSIDER ARTIST EXTRAORDINAIRE!!!

Original sealed copies of this oddball private press gem! Using our keen detective skills we actually were able to get in touch with outsider musician Emmett Frisbee himself! Turns out he was still sitting on SEALED O.G. stock of his private-press, genre-bending masterpiece! Without thinking twice, we bought Mr. Frisbee out. It's safe to say P-Rex has the LAST REMAINING O.G. COPIES OF "SOUND PAINTINGS". Danté Carfagna (Express Rising) previously penned these essential words in Issue 6 of Wax Poetics:

"Pittsburgh has tons of pizza places. Tons. In fact, it's hard to get anything to eat that's not pizza related. Navigation is also hard to come by, as the city is nestled between small mountains in a valley at the intersection of three large river. That said, the Emmett Frisbee record seems a result of frustration with both pepperoni and the automobile. Basically, one large piece committed to each side, the rather large ensemble (headed by the piano of Frisbee) moves through all kinds of fertile territory. Electronics are explored, tight prog-jazz moves abound, and an air of experimentalism that dominates the proceedings. The more interesting side, entitled "City Suite" links many different movements together with the sound of the railroad, with one particular passage inexplicably resembling some lost Timbaland track. Easily moving between straight bar jazz, ambient passages, and honky funk, the Frisbee team wears their influences proudly. They would be the local band most likely to provide musical accompaniment to both an experimental theater group and a tenth generation video of the Immaculate Reception. In essence a PGH version of Minneapolis's Whole Earth Rainbow Band, or perhaps even a more organized Starship Beer, the local "zanies" will always have their own privately pressed record. The late '70s have a wealth of unsorted local White avant-garde outfits, most autonomous and interesting, many deemed "Genius!" twenty-five years after the fact by bored local music critics."

We'd certainly LOVE to see the movie Frisbee was envisioning whilst compiling "Sound Paintings" - part love story, part daytime soap, part avant-garde character study, and ALL completely WHACKED in the head! You'd be hard-pressed to find anything that sounds quite like "Sound Paintings". This one will sit nicely next to your recent reissues of Don Muro, Todd, and Medico Doktor Vibes albums! Again - we have the LAST remaining stock straight from the source, so once these are gone, consider the well DRIED UP. Blaze and blast this mutha! RECOMMENDED!
